Virtuatrade, a scam?

In November 2009 I was new to Second Life. I found a link on the Second Life website to Virtuatrade LLC as a way to buy Lindens, the in-game currency of Second Life. The link made it appear (at least I thought at the time) that Virtuatrade was endorsed by Linden Labs.

I made a small payment through Paypal. It went through, but I never heard anything from Virtuatrade and never got any Lindens credited to my account. The loss was tiny, but I want to warn everyone away from Virtuatrade.

The relationship between Virtuatrade and Second Life is complicated, and I'm guessing the former fell into bad hands. At the moment, www.virtuatrade.com is down.
